Snyder Roofing of Oregon LLC, Teufel Landscape, and TERRA.fluxus LLC are currently at work on a retrofit for the Bonneville Power Administration 905 Building in Northeast Portland. The building is owned by the General Services Administration, and as part of the ARRA Stimulus Funding is undergoing retrofits to ensure the building performs at optimal levels. Working with General Contractor Allen-Bradbury Construction, the project scope for our team will include roofing for most of the structure, along with a variety of vegetated roof levels.
As part of the strategies for energy efficiency, rooftop ecoroof will blend with accessible terraces to provide benefits such as visual access to nature, habitat, heat island mitigation, stormwater management, and roof longevity. Vegetated roofs are located on the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Floors, and will include semi-intensive vegetation along with terrace for public access. Rooftops will be irrigated with captured rainwater stored in cisterns on upper rooftops to ensure the building has net-zero potable water use. Construction is slated for Summer of 2010.
